Страйкарі вимагають покращення заходів безпеки через коронавірус, адже їм доводиться виходити на роботу, поки переважна більшість жителів дотримуються правил ізоляції.
Обидві компанії оголосили, що мають намір найняти на роботу десятки тисяч нових співробітників, адже зараз онлайн торгівля та доставка продуктів досягли небувалих обсягів через карантин. Нинішні ж робітники стверджують, що керівництво компаній не роблять достатньо, щоб гарантувати їхню безпеку. Вони вимагають, зокрема, збільшення оплачуваних лікарняних.
Окрім того, працівники Amazon хочуть, щоб складські приміщення закривалися на довший час і проходили ретельну санітарну обробку, а співробітники Instacart вимагають дезінфекційні серветки, санітайзери та збільшення зарплатні у якості компенсації ризиків, які вони на себе беруть.
У компанії Amazon працює близько 800 тисяч людей, при цьому принаймні в 11 складах компанії були зафіксовані зараження коронавірусом. Керівництво стверджує, що вдається до значних кроків заради своїх працівників, зокрема пропонує необмежену неоплачувану відпустку тим, хто почувається некомфортно на роботі під час епідемії, а також тимчасово збільшила зарплатню робітникам на два долари за годину.
Керівництво Instacart обіцяє надати своїм працівникам більше санітайзерів та змінити настройки додатку таким чином, щоб працівники могли отримувати більші чайові.

Spain will delay a planned auction of 5G spectrum due to the coronavirus outbreak, the government said on Monday.
As part of a Europe-wide drive to speed up the roll out of fast Internet and broaden coverage, Spain had been due to free up space in the 700 MHz band of its network by switching from analog to digital terrestrial television by June 30.
One of the world’s worst national outbreaks of the virus, which had infected 85,915 people and killed 7,340 as of Monday, constitutes force majeure, making it impossible to stick to that deadline, the government said in a statement.
Madrid has told Brussels it will set a new deadline for the 700 MHz band depending on the eventual end-date for emergency measures including restrictions on people’s movements, it added.
Austria postponed a planned 5G auction last week, and the CEO of French group Iliad said one coming up in France would likely meet the same fate.

Закон, що його ухвалив угорський парламент 30 березня 137-ма голосами «за»проти 53-х, дає право урядові продовжувати надзвичайний стан без часових обмежень, а також надає можливість прем’єрові керувати країною за допомогою указів. Дотепер продовження надзвичайного стану, запровадженого 11 березня, мали затверджувати депутати парламенту.
Незважаючи на гостру критику законопроєкту з боку правозахисних груп, ЄС та ООН, його легко затвердили депутати з правлячої партії Фідес – партії Орбана, яка має дві третини мандатів в угорському парламенті.
29 березня чотири неурядові організації в Угорщині, ключно з правозахисним Гельсінським комітетом, закликали уряд внести зміни в законопроєкт, включно з положенням, яке б передбачало завершення дії закону після якоїсь конкретної дати в разі якщо парламент не продовжує дію закону.
Співголова Гельсінського комітету Угорщини Марта Пардаві сказала, що інакше Орбан «матиме цілком необмежений мандат для уряду… і нинішній законопроєкт… власне, дає мандат з необмеженим карт-бланшем».
Від 2010 року 56-рчний Орбан поступово зміцнював свою владу, ведучи наступ на незалежність угорських судів та ЗМІ.
Він також обмежив діяльність неурядових організацій – за це Угорщину, яка є членом ЄС та НАТО, критикували всередині країни та в Брюсселі.
Серед інших положень нового закону зокрема є й стаття про кримінальну відповідальність з можливим терміном ув’язнення до п’яти років за поширення «фейкових новин» про коронавірус.
В Угорщині коронавірусом інфіковані 447 людей, а померли від нього 15 людей, згідно з даними Університету Джона Гопкінса.

British heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles, who had tested positive for coronavirus, is out of self-isolation after seven days and is in good health, his spokesman said on Monday. Last week, his Clarence House office revealed that Charles, 71, had been tested after displaying mild symptoms of the virus and had been in self-isolation at his Birkhall home in Scotland where he had continued to work. After consultation with his doctor, he is now out of self-isolation, Clarence House said. He will resume meetings and take exercise in accordance with government and medical guidelines. However, his wife Camilla, who tested negative for coronavirus, will remain in self-isolation until the end of the week in case she too develops symptoms. Since Spain’s population of 47 million went into lockdown on March 14, there has been a flourishing of virtual parties, online classes and remote cultural events as people rush to find new ways to stay connected during the pandemic. Over in the United States, Valerie Canon, a 38-year-old ballet teacher from Kentucky, said she has been inundated with responses since starting a Facebook page called “My Friends Do Awesome Things. Let’s Learn from Them.” The mother-of-three, who began by posting classes to keep her students fit during lockdown, said that within three days 1,500 people were using the page, giving her and others the chance to learn a host of “awesome and useful things.” “In the past few days, I have learned how to put victory rolls in my hair, make a Manhattan [and] how to make an at-home cleaner with citrus fruit and apple vinegar,” she said. Кілька депутатів Європарламенту надіслали листа лідерам інституцій Євросоюзу з проханням вжити заходів у відповідь на кампанії Росії та Китаю з дезінформації щодо коронавірусної пандемії.
Лист, доступ до якого отримало Радіо Свобода, датований 27 березня. Його автори просять президентку Європейської комісії Урсулу фон дер Ляйєн, президента Європейської ради Шарля Мішеля та очільника зовнішньополітичної служби Жозепа Борреля «негайно запропонувати сконцентрований план дій перед обличчям використання поточної кризи країнами з ворожими геополітичними амбіціями».
Листа підписали 39 члени Європейського парламенту.

«Ми серйозно стривожені поточними спробами з дезінформації та пропаганди, до яких вдаються зокрема Китай та Росія. Більшості з нас – тих, хто спостерігає за ситуацією – очевидно, що відбуваються спроби підважити Євросоюз та посіяти недовіру сереж місцевого населення та серед європейських сусідів щодо ЄС, його демократичних цінностей та інституцій», – зазначають депутати.
Натомість вони вимагають «більш ефективної допомоги всім країнам-членам», особливо найбільш ураженим – Італії, Іспанії, деяким регіонам Франції.
«Такі заходи можуть виходити за межі фінансових інструментів та можуть включати більш відчутну та видиму допомогу, на кшталт імпорту обладнання та кваліфікованого персоналу, розміщення хворих пацієнтів», – припускають підписанти.
Вони також закликають розробити стратегію комунікацій та прозорості, аби привернути увагу до такої допомоги, протидіяти дезінформації та дати громадянам ЄС сигнал про незмінність солідарності між ними.

Минулого тижня голова Європейської служби зовнішніх справ Жозеп Боррель заявив про «глобальну битву наративів, в якій розрахунок часу є вирішальним фактором».
«Китай агресивно проштовхує меседж, що, на відміну від США, він є надійним та відповідальним партнером. У цій битві наративів ми також бачили спроби дискредитувати Євросоюз та, в деяких випадках, стигматизувати європейців, наче всі вони – носії вірусу», – заявив він.
Підконтрольна Європейській службі зовнішніх справ група East StratCom Task Force, згідно з документом, зібрала 80 випадків пов’язаної з коронавірусом дезінформацї у своїй публічній базі даних з 22 січня і дійшла висновку, що до цього причетні прокремлівські ресурси. Водночас фахівці вважають, що ці ресурси не генерують дезінформацію самі, а лише поширюють теорії, що походять із Китаю, Ірану та праворадикальних груп США.

При цьому в російському прикордонному управлінні зазначили, що жителі з кримською пропискою зможуть в’їхати на територію півострова без обмежень.
Раніше російське прикордонне управління ФСБ заборонило допуск «іноземних громадян» на територію Криму з материкової України з опівночі 18 березня.
17 березня Міністерство України з питань тимчасово окупованих територій і тимчасово переміщених осіб повідомило про обмеження пропуску через контрольні пункти в’їзду-виїзду на адмінкордоні анексованого Криму з Херсонською областю до 3 квітня. Державна прикордонна служба України пояснила Крим.Реалії, що обмеження стосується громадян без реєстрації на материковій частині України.
Після анексії Криму Росією на початку 2014 року між материковою Україною і півостровом проліг формально адміністративний, але фактично – справжній кордон. У Херсонській області на адмінкордоні з Кримом працюють три контрольних пункту в’їзду/виїзду – «Каланчак», «Чонгар» і «Чаплинка».

Позачергове засідання Верховної Ради України відбудеться 30 березня о 14:00, йдеться в розпорядженні спікера парламенту, оприлюдненому на сайті ВРУ.
Згідно з документом, на засіданні депутати мають розглянути 13 питань, зокрема, щодо кадрових змін в уряді: звільнення міністрів охорони здоров’я і фінансів і призначення нових очільників Мінфіну, МОЗ і Міненергетики.
На засіданні також планують розглянути проєкти закону щодо забезпечення лікування коронавірусної хвороби і щодо забезпечення додаткових соціальних й економічних гарантій у зв’язку з поширенням COVID-2019, а також криміналізації вивезення через митний кордон України товарів протиепідемічного призначення.
Згідно з розпорядженням Дмитра Разумкова, депутати планують розглянути урядовий законопроєкт про зміни до держбюджету.
Водночас, як повідомив спікер 29 березня, щодо законопроєктів про ринок землі і про банки, які в своєму зверненні згадував президент і ухвалення яких хоче МВФ, то з цього приводу згоди між фракціями поки що немає.

He acknowledged the steps he ordered are harsh and knows people are angry with him. “But these tough measures were needed to win this battle,” he said Sunday. With a population of 1.3 billion, India’s lockdown is by far the world’s largest, leaving countless millions with no food or homes. Australia’s most populous state, New South Wales, is banning public gathering of more than two people. За словами Омара, таліби «мусять припинити шукати приводи» відкладати переговори. Вони мали початися ще 10 березня, але відкладалися через незгоду в Кабулі щодо складу делегації. 28 березня «Талібан» відмовився від зустрічей із узгодженою делегацією, заявивши, що уряд не зміг запропонувати «інклюзивний» склад.

As they chanted in the packed stadium it is believed they picked up the new coronavirus strain and took it home to Bergamo. Two days later, Italy confirmed the first case of locally transmitted COVID-19. Six weeks later, Italy reported that the number of deaths from the coronavirus had topped 10,000. Bergamo is struggling to bury and cremate the number of bodies after several hundred people sometimes die in one day. European football leagues have canceled local soccer matches until at least the end of April to help slow the rapid spread of COVID-19. The European championship has been postponed until the summer of 2021 because the domestic competition cannot be completed in time for this summer.Most European countries have locked their borders and ordered closures of schools and all but essential businesses. People are asked to stay at home, gather in very limited numbers, sometimes no more than two, and keep a distance from others when they have to go out. In some cases, governments have imposed strict measures such as curfews and mandatory quarantine. But measures vary from country to country. In Sweden, restaurants and bars in some cities seemed as lively this month as ever, with the government allowing people to choose how to protect themselves. Schools, day care centers, gyms and beauty salons remained open even as they closed in neighboring Denmark and Norway. The government announced tougher measures last week after the number of infections and COVID-19 deaths suddenly soared. But Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said you cannot legislate everything and that individuals also have to take responsibility.Some experts also say that it is counterproductive to impose measures that cannot be sustained for a long period of time.
